Our command leader Jordan took a break to have Christmas with friends in South Carolina. His ride was going be late, so I offered to drive him down and then come back. It is about an hour and half drive one-way, which is no big deal for this Californian. It was nice to have that time to share with each other.

Jordan is 29, but it was interesting how much our lives have parallels, God quilting again. Sweet time. I got back around 9pm. Today is Christmas! The Prince of Peace is here!! It is cold but today is much warmer than it has been, but winter is coming.

Of course, they have lots of wood, but it is all only a few months old so really hard to get started in a fire to be warmed by. There are debris piles everywhere! Each pile has lots of pine and dried wood. I found a circular saw and wagon then made my way to this pile. I pulled wood and cut to sizes to fit in wood stoves. This Christmas morning I am making kindling for getting those tent stoves started in camp. Woo-hoo!!
