The jobs are so big that after working hard for several hours it doesn't look like we have done anything. In the morning I did some more chainsaw work and when I arrived it was obvious we were all starting at the same time so I suggested we pray together before starting. Sweet time. Part of our goal is to redirect the creek, or cut off a split in the creek. We worked at moving rocks around to dam up the split. We didn't stop it but slowed it way down. Then more cutting and before too long we were off to the next project.
Back at camp the owners of the land we are camping on came for a visit. They have two little dogs, which was good dog-time for me. They have a barn that was flooded. They have lots of equipment in it. My afternoon job was to figure out how to start getting stuff out. I worked with Emily and she had a plan to make a path with wood for the wheelbarrow. Brilliant.
And then we worked at digging things out one shovel at a time. So much too do and your efforts seem so pitiful. But push on we must.
