The morning after I arrived the Lord impressed upon me who I needed to deliver the Lowe's gift cards (totaling $950) to Stephanie in Marshall, NC. Her channel came across my feed and I started watching and considered her an important source of my information. I made contact with her via email, but I am sure she was skeptical as to my intent. I made a trip to Marshall to try to find her. It was about an hour drive from Asheville and when I arrived at the General Store no one was around, but as I wandered around, I found someone working on one of the tiny houses.

I asked him if he knew where Stephanie was and if she would be back. She was out delivering one of the tiny houses and he thought she might be back within the hour. I thought to myself can I give the cards to him, then asked him if he was trust-worthy and he said he thought so. His name is Ian, and I gave him the cards. I walked back to the entrance and sat for a few minutes, thinking I might wait about ten minutes. After a minute someone came out of a building and asked if I needed any help. Her name is Cristine, and we talked for a bit I explained why I was there and of course I started crying. She attested to Ian's trustworthiness and we both agreed how special Stephanie is with all she has done and is doing for those affected by Helene. We hugged and I left with my well wishes to Stephanie.
My next journey is to find camp Miller. Very glad my phone's GPS has been working for me. All new places for me and with the roads still is disrepair it can be a challenge. I get where I was told it was, and I can't find signs of the camp. I found another camp, but it was not camp Miller. It was time for me to make my way to my next volunteer event, Savage Santa. I wasn't too sure about volunteering with them, but they were one of the only groups that responded to my inquiry. And I am glad I did because the people running the event are wonderful people who love Jesus. They had TWO large container semi-trucks full of toys to unload and arrange in the gym of middle school in Burnsville, NC. They also had FOUR bounce houses and Santa Claus.

After unloading everything and arranging all the toys and bikes et al it was time for the community to come. I no longer had a "job" and felt a bit lost until I came up with the idea of making a handle with duct tape for the boxes the kids were filling. Yahoo! A job to keep me occupied. The event lasted until 8pm and it had started snowing around 4pm, not hard but enough to dust the roads. I cautiously drove back down to Asheville, and it was not snowing there, but still very cold. I was exhausted and ready for bed.
Next day was another Christmas Party for the community of Asheville/Fletcher and it was with the same volunteer group, and they were assisting another group. It was at an agriculture center and in their indoor arena. Even more bounce houses and more Santas and more gifts et al. We unloaded what we had re-loaded from the other event in order to again put them out for this group. After all that, I was looking for another "job" and they needed volunteers to "man" the bounce houses. I choose a bounce house to "man" to the glory of God.

I certainly was wondering why I was in North Carolina to "man" bounce houses, but always better not to question God. I met two ladies whom I believe I will meet again. God only knows.
