Last Monday I found out the Cotton-patch volunteer camp was shutting down and I couldn't stay there. So more trusting God's plan. I made contact with two people but neither seemed like a solution for my first night since I would be arriving in the Asheville area at night.
Tracy picked me up at o'dark thirty and left my dogs and a traveling friend (another story) in my house as we made our way to Ontario airport. I had a big bag to check because of course I packed a lot of camping gear. And it is Christmas time so more travelers and tsa line was nerve wracking but made it through in time and had an uneventful direct flight to Charlotte.

Picked up my rental, got one big enough so I could sleep in back. Made a pit stop at Walmart on my way. Picked up water and food and foam for the back of suv to make sleeping extra comfy. Then stopped at chick=fil-a for dinner. Then did some more Internet work. The first group I connected with was Calvary chapel asheville. However, I never got a response from them and God seemed to be impressing on me I will make a way you do not need to follow up. So while I am looking at their website it dawns on me that it is Wednesday night, perhaps they have a service. And sure enough they do. I am about an hour and a half away, I will be late but should make it before it's over. God provides! Sure enough they are there and I am welcome to sleep inside or in my car.
Not sure why I am always blown away by God's provision but I am. Tomorrow I work the afternoon with a local group called Valley Strong Disaster Relief. Friday and Saturday I will be helping with a Santa Claus event for the community in two different places.
